Looking after your refurbished wheels

A little care helps keep the finish looking its best for longer.

During the first 7 days

  • Avoid chemical wheel cleaners.
  • Wash only with mild car shampoo, clean water and a soft wash mitt or cloth.
  • Avoid automatic car washes and aggressive pressure washing.

Ongoing care

  • Use a pH-neutral wheel cleaner suitable for refurbished or powder-coated wheels.
  • Do not use acidic or strongly alkaline wheel-cleaning products.
  • Avoid abrasive brushes, scouring pads or harsh cleaning tools.
  • Remove brake dust regularly rather than allowing heavy build-up.
  • Keep pressure-washer nozzles a sensible distance from the wheel surface.
